So this is where my memory + my tiny chatbook will have to come in super handy (THOSE LOST PHOTOS!!). Because this trip was SUCH a dream. And something I so want to remember forever. It felt like I was in some romance novel the entire time. I was SOOO just content and happy. Deeply happy on this trip. It's amazing how much you appreciate a little alone time when you have two little kids that keep you busy busy. It's hard to find the time to just be Ben and I. But whenever we get to do this I always remember how he truly is my very best friend and we make a pretty good team. Adored every second of this vacation.
Some things that stick out in my mind was being able to see where the wright brothers learned to fly. D.C. RIDING BIKES all over. just like we did before we had kiddos when we lived there. Eating together. Shopping in Georgetown together. The newseum!! Incredible. I LOVED the pultizer prize photography section. and the 9/11 memorial. just wow. those photos moved me to the core.
Driving and shooting the wedding together, getting caught in a massive rainstorm and a TORNADO...really! Driving down to North Carolina. Bike Rides. Beach. Kitty Hawk. BBQ food. Ice cream. Movie Nights. Quaint restaurants. Charming Lighthouses. Walking along the board walk. Eating Peaches on the sound. Cute local fruit stands. We were able to do so many things in such a short amount of time. The outer banks is truly a magical place.
