When I was a little girl we would always drive up the canyon inbetween sessions during octobers general conference. Those memories are so vivid that I just couldn't help but do them myself. Being from Utah...we both realized how badly we miss the mountains during the fall. Fall here is usually my time where I struggle a bit. Those leaves, crisp air, cozy socks, and beanies have me missing Utah bad. So we decided to make our own tradition and go find fall.
We headed up to Big Bear and I honestly think it will be one of those memories that's ever vivid for our family as well. It was SUCH a good day.
The mountains have always been a place where Ben and I can just talk openly and freely. Something about just moving and being in wide open space alone. We always find ourselves reflecting and talking about what we could do better.
I recently heard a little saying that the reason we feel at such peace when we are out in nature is beacause we're surrounded by God's creations that are perfectly obedient--and we are influenced by what we surround ourselves with. I LOOOOOOVE that.

This was during the AM session.
Ella was halfway ready and wanted to go play and "be a baby" in her beanie and onesie :)
So we let her do her thing and I snapped a few pics of her in her element at two.
Ellas been on this princess kick and wanted to wear her tutu all over the place.
I never thought I would be into the tutu thing...even growing up as a dancer.
But it was pretty dang cute.
We went on the alpine slide, hiked around a bit, went to see the different scarecrows all over town, and ate at a cute little mexican restaurant.
It was the first time in a LONG time where we needed a jacket and beanie and we were in heaven.
