So a couple of nights ago I had a dream that I moved 20 miles inland.
I was super bummed out and was thinking but what happened to my LIFE.
Walking all over Dana Point every day...the post office, the grocery store, the beach, past my flower stand?
Hopping on my bike and carting Ella to and from. Here and there.
Walking over to Capeners? Finn and Ella?
Mama and Baby Beach days?
What happened to all my parks with ocean views.
Baby Beach for Ella, Doheney for Surf, and Strands and Salt Creek for lazy beach days and summer nights...all right there. Walking distance.
What happened to the ocean breeze and the salty air.
My grassy spot overlooking the harbor?
My sandy floors?
AHHHHH.
And then I woke up.
And I realized.
California is becoming HOME. home.
I'm a Utah girl.
I.just.am
And honestly I will always be proud of my roots.
Of my pioneer blood.
Of my mountains, my lakes, my hot summer days and my freezing winter nights.
My falls, my springs.
My friends, my family.
Alllll of it.
UTAH
I miss it.
I DO
But I love it here too.
And everyone is always asking us...Will you come back?
And if I were to guess...I think we will.
But am I in a hurry?
Not really.
I'm happy.
With California.
I'm happy with Utah too.
So wherever we are I think we would be happy.
But for now
CA has proven to steal my heart.
So here is to a hybrid kinda girl.
Raised in the mountains and living by the sea.
I am so grateful.
I try and never take a day for granted because I recognize how fragile and precious life really is.
Here is to life and living.
