A couple of kids from utah fell in love with the city.
Although ben and I LOVE the mountains, red rock, blue skies, and open fields.
We are finding that the 'city life' is sometimes hard to beat.
There is just something exciting and energetic that we thrive off of.
Saturdays in particular are the best.
Wake up and head into the eastern market.
The flowers, the fruit, the crafts, the food, the antiques, the art, the smell.
Perfect.
(ps- the samples don't hurt either :)
After feeling inspired, we'll head on over to a museum or gallery.
Below is the national geographic museum.
They were doing a special exhibit on Da Vinci while we were there.
WOOOW!!
He was incredible.
Again, we leave feeling inspired...
Usually the case these days.
There was an exhibit on poverty as well. Really touching. Made us both want to get out there and help.
Then...off to national harbor.
Such a fun, new, hip little corner of town.
There is something about harbors that is so charming.
Here i am with 'the awakening'.
One of the coolest pieces of art I've ever seen.
It's this HUGE sculpture of a man who looks like he's drowning in sand.
You can kind of get the idea...
It's tough to beat a saturday in the district.
