Lately I have been thinking A LOT about school.
I am one of those nerds who always loved school and learning and to think that it's nearing an end is a little bit saddening(realized today I have seven months of school left)...These past five years of college have been full of challenges, growth, and joy. I have gained so many friends, along with memories that I will never forget. I have learned so much about myself and the world around me. School has taught me to appreciate everything from Clogging to Cadavers, and find wonder and awe in all of the things surrounding me. There is really nothing that could replace all of the knowledge and experience that I have gained over these five years. This semester I find myself not minding coming home late after a long day consisting of lectures, seminars, museums, dance, the dark room, the print lab, the studio, and studying. Because as I walk back to my car when all is dark and quite I look around and try to take it all in, the mountains, the students, the feeling, and realize that sooner than later I will no longer be a student of this wonderful university.
Ash and I at Living Legends (dance show put on by all of the native american, latin american, and Polynesian students that attend BYU).
Such a good show, it is so fun to have such diversity.
My favorite dance was the one from Samoa, the Lapa Lapa Slap. There was more energy in the audience then I have ever experienced in my life. Pretty sure I almost busted out of my seat to join in! Got to love polynesian culture.
Take it all in! I miss being a student at BYU so much. The U is...just not the same. But congrats on almost being done! What an accomplishment.
