hmmm, september.
Being a mom is kind of like getting married. I feel like the first year for me was kind of like...whoaaaaa. okay, re-adjust. re-think. re-prioritize. all while the most amazing things are going on. Like come on, that first year of marriage ROCKED. But then the second year you get in that groove and you recognize what needs to be done to maintain zen. Ya know?? And I am feeling like I'm reaching that 'zen' with ella.
That I get her. (for now...right?...then there are the two's, the teens, I know...) But NOW. I get her.
And it is soooo fun.
And I know what needs to be done to keep us both happy.
And now for September... and some of those things we've been up to that keep us...happy.
We spent an entire saturday at three arch bay with all our friends, played volleyball, ate pizza, body surfed, watched the babies play, had a bonfire with smores...it was just one of those days that left me thinking life is good to us. And we were happy.
I took Ella to baby beach a couple times just the two of us. We listened to the small waves, played with her sand toys, ate some snacks.
I taught Ella about chasing the birds. There were hundreds of them on the shore. So I took her out of her stroller. Held her as tight as I could and literally sprinted towards them. She laughed so hard.
Birthday Party's and Disneyland. Parks...ohhh the park circuit. It's a familiar one. The pier. We always take her to the pier but one day she was walking and just stopped. Looked down in between the cracks absolutely amazed. Hysterically laughing. Then wanted to crawl down the entire thing and look through every crack to see the water.
I was able to spend a Saturday with two of my gf and go to L.A.
We went to fabric and flower district and olievera street. It was a really fun mini get a way. L.A. is always surprising me. So many little pockets to always be discovered.
I took out a box one day and we did those dotter paints which was really fun. I feel like she didn't entirely get it yet but it was still fun for us to be creative and try some new things. We also started MUSIC MAKERS. which I am a big fan of! I am a believer of music. Good music.
Annnd that is september.
