Saturday's are for family...

I have learned not to take my Saturday's for granted.

As a photographer I don't always get to spend my Saturday's with Ben and Ella.

And that is probably my least favorite part about the business. 

But when I DO I try and take in every second.

Usually we are off playing, at the beach, hiking, biking, off to L.A or San Diego...

But this particular Saturday was cold and wet and rainy so we decided to just work on our house together.

At one point, I was organizing the kitchen and Ben and Ella were proudly looking out the window at our new patio furniture and plants. Ella was standing with her little hands spread wide against the glass window and Ben beamed with pride at this little space they had created. I walked over to join them, ben just looked at me, pulled me in close, and held me and Ella for awhile. And I was so completely and sincerely happy in that moment. A moment in time that I don't want to forget. 

Later in the afternoon we walked over to the nursery right by our home and picked up some plants for a few of our little pots. 

Then we came home, ate some take out, and watched a movie together. 

It may have been the best saturday I think I've ever had.

She always goes ohhhhh, and a little whisper that sounds like "what's that" which is probably EXACTLY what she is trying to say because I have noticed myself always doing the exact thing to her, with her little pointed finger. oh i love her.}
