Two Years Ago...

Two years ago Ben and I had been college grads for a month.
Ben didn't have a job and we were anxious to move on with our lives.
So we decided to just pack up and move to CA for a ridiculous job offer.

We were gypsies then.
Gypsies that couldn't stay in one spot longer than 4 months.
We like to explore, be adventurous, and take chances.
So we did it.
crazy.
We were crazy.

I'm more cautious now.
But I'm glad we weren't back then.

We realized after a couple months things were not looking good.
So I started working...hard.
I worked 6 days a week and never stopped.
I worked 3 dif jobs, flying back and forth to utah to do photography.
I remember clocking in 85 hours between everything a week.

We almost went back to Utah a few different times.
But we always felt like it just wasn't the right thing to do.

Six months later Ben got a pretty decent job with a good company.
Both of us continued to work super hard. Both working our day jobs. And traveling
here and there and everywhere for photography jobs on the weekends.
Never slowing down or stopping.

I found out I was pregnant and knew I would still have to work for some time. Nannying, and doing photography in mornings and weekends. Still working 6 days a week. It worked. And we were blessed. But it was hard. I'll be honest. But we knew our path brought us here for a good reason.
We always felt confident about that.

It was time. Like so many other things in my life have proved to be. We just had to be patient. And learn the value of hard work. working together as a team.

Today is the last day of Bens current job.
And in a week and half he will start a new job.
Almost exactly two years later.

And it is good.
All is good.
And things are finally starting to pan out a bit over here.

And I know that for the time being. California is the place for us.
Sometimes its hard, and we miss our families and dear, dear friends.
But we have learned a lot. And have had a lot of fun in between the periods of work.
And I know it's so cliche but I wouldnt have traded all the downs for one up.
Because at the end of the day I'm grateful for all the lessons I learned.

Here is to our new life starting tomorrow.
New horizons.

Let's Go team.
