Meeting Ella M....

There is nothing more special in the whole world than when you meet your baby. 

These past two weeks have been a whirlwind of emotion.

For the most part...all good. 

 magical. 

is really the word that comes to my mind.

Seeing Ben as a Dad. The way he loves her and the way he beams with pride 

Holding her for the first time

Staring at one another through the basinet that first night...her eyes just piercing into mine 

The way Ben takes care of us

Thinking about her future and everything she will accomplish, who she will become

Taking her home and introducing her to the world

Morning cuddles 

Kissing her, Hugging her, Loving her

Is just something really, REALLY special.

Pregnancy was hard, delivery was hard, recovery is hard

But I would do it all over and over and over again.

And hopefully I will be able to. Because this is love.

I love this picture.

It really probably means nothing to anyone but me.

But as I was laying there that first night just looking at these two together I was totally and completely happy. Probably somewhere around 3 AM...her first night.
